About Dan
Models, Models and More Models
Dan began designing and building scale models professionally in 1981.
One of the first models was an operating HO scale model of a yard section of the Florida East Coast Railroad in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He worked from actual site measurements and a certified to-scale aerial photographs. Due to demand from law firms needing accurate scale models for Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases, Dan was engaged in over 250 legal cases and only ever one of those cases were lost. Soon after Dan began to expand into architectural site models as well.
Customers then began calling to ask Dan if he could build them model railroads, Dan built in all railroad scales from Z to G, as well as architectural scales from ¼ inch to the foot to 1:200. Much of his work is done from scratch, and as well as building model trains Dan also built models of functional and operating structures such as lift bridges, bascule bridges, swing bridges, turntables and their bridges, roundhouses, and stations.
Along with designing and building complete layouts, Dan also repairs most rolling stock from engines to freight and passenger cars and accessories. He also designs and manufactures his own circuits and circuit boards for the electronics for the railroads and all their accessories. The wiring of each layout is carefully designed and built by Dan and completely documented for the customer. Dan can build to your imagination, What can Dan build for you?
